TheCraft
Not one workshop, one technique or one material — but a controlled route from design studio to material selection, hand-skiving and stitching, precious-metal finishing, engraving, stone setting and final presentation.
Craftsmanship built around the object
Bespoke craft at OJ Exclusive works across custom devices, exotic leather goods, bags, footwear, jackets, watch accessories, jewelry details, packaging and private-label commissions. Because every object is different, the route is chosen around the product type, material, quantity, personalization and production availability.
Some projects begin with sketches, digital previews and design direction in the Netherlands. Others move straight into the workshop where the craft begins: hand-cutting leather, skiving edges thinner by hand, shaping panels, stitching, glazing, edge painting, polishing hardware and judging how the piece feels in the hand.
For regulated exotic leathers, the material route and documentation matter as much as beauty. For precious finishes, the preparation beneath the gold, engraving or stone setting is what decides whether a piece feels refined rather than merely decorated.
Six routes,
one standard

What happens before it is finished
A commission moves through a controlled route of design, material, handwork, specialist finishing and inspection. The process is quiet, but it is where the luxury is made.
Design Direction
Every commission begins with proportion, silhouette, colour, material, logo position, initials, hardware and lining — so the object is never merely decorated.
Material Selection
Leather, exotic skins, precious finishes and hardware are chosen around the object. Scale, grain, colour depth and surface are judged before production starts.
Hand Cutting
Panels are cut with attention to grain direction, crocodile scale flow, symmetry and how the material will sit once shaped around the object.
Hand-Skiving
Edges are thinned by hand so folds, seams and wrapped areas sit cleanly. Good skiving is almost invisible — but it decides how refined a piece feels.
Stitching & Assembly
By product, construction can mean hand stitching, machine stitching, shaping, bonding, wrapping, reinforcement or structured assembly.
Edge Painting
Edges, corners and transitions are painted, glazed, sanded and polished in multiple passes until the finish feels smooth and controlled.
Engraving & Setting
Initials, emblems, logos, serial details, stone setting and metal finishing are handled through the right specialist route for the commission.
Quality Control
The finished piece is checked for finish, alignment, touch, hardware and presentation — and whether it answers the original brief — before it leaves.
Tanneries & Materials
Material sourcing for exotic leather, premium leather, custom colours, hand-painted finishes and documented regulated materials. Every surface decision changes the final object: scale, colour depth, softness, finish, documentation and how the material behaves once it is cut, wrapped or stitched.

Engravers & Hardware
Specialist engraving, metal parts and hardware routes for objects that need precision, depth or repeatable technical finishing. Open a drawer to see how each route is used inside a commission.
